Nuts and Bolts of Being a Performing Artist — a facilitated community-building workshop

If the [Nuts and Bolts] workshop were mandatory for every BFA and MFA student, it would change the artistic landscape of America.
— Blair Benjamin, Director, Assets for Artists, MASS MoCA

Similar in concept to the Retreat offerings these workshops are designed for change-makers from multiple companies and organizations with similar intent: empowering ourselves through skill/ trust-building, self-care, and community resilience.

Based on The Nuts and Bolts of Being a Performing Artist, participants work in peer-to-peer facilitated groups. Cohorts unravel the transferable skills that enable each individual to create a foundation of fellowship. Clarity comes to the forefront as significant cognitive shifts occur rapidly.

Workshops are adjusted to the needs and objectives of the sectors that overlap. From nonprofit foundations and mission-based cooperatives to social entrepreneurs, stakeholders from across the spectrum come together to make collective strides toward local and global transformation.

We offer multi-day resilience building workshops across sectors.

I learned more about creating a sustainable artistic business during Seth’s seven-hour workshop than I did during six years of graduate study.
